The settings for my pool will then be as follows:

Fix fees: 340 Ada (minimum fee as possible)
Variable fees: 1% pool fee to maximize your own rewards

I tested the processes and my pool in the testnet extensively and adjusted software and hardware to each other. The system now works fine.
